Presence indication
Easily keep track of your employees with integrated presence indicators that display to other users whether someone is online, on a phone call, in a meeting or out of the office. In the case of out-of-office users, it can easily be configured that they receive their new messages per cellular phone. Each user's status is displayed in color-coded fashion for ease-of-use.

Pop-up messages (stickies)
Real-time communication is worthless if it doesn't grab users' attention outright. adamantium|IM provides instant pop-up messages (or stickies) that will pop-up over all other windows currently on display on the user's machine. These message offer easy communication between users and facilitate a quick response.

Instant messages differ from e-mail in the way that it is not received by the user when he polls his mailbox on the company e-mail server. It is pushed down to them, rather than pulled from the server.

Instant memos
Many organisations are suffering from information overload. And no other technology available to them is proof of this more than e-mail server under-delivery. The alternative to this, but similar in design, is the instant memo as found in adamantium|IM. An instant memo is a message that can be formatted in a WYSIWYG/HTML fashion (similar to modern e-mail) and can be used to distribute files to large numbers of users.

Instant memos are only limited to users registered on the system, thereby limiting abuse of the system and lowering data storage costs. adamantium|IM has been designed specifically with efficiency in mind. When a message is distributed to multiple users, a single copy of the message is stored in the database. This means that, in e-mail terms, twenty copies of a mail 1MB big would take up 20MB storage on a mail server or file server. The optimisation obtained through the adamantium|IM model means that the same message would take up no more space that 1MB, or 1 message in the database.

SMS to cellular phones
Very few organisations can afford high telephone bills. Yet, after numerous attempts to limit employees' use and abuse of company phone lines to call cellular phones, few have managed to reduce that expense effectively.

Many cellular phone calls are supposed to be quick and cheap, but employees abuse this and overutilise this expensive utility. adamantium|IM has an integrated SMS functionality whereby users can send SMS's to other users. These SMS's can be replied on by the recipient which gets sent back into the messaging system and received by the sender as an instant message.

SMS bundles are sold by iTouch South Africa and can cost as little as 30c per message, depending on the bundles bought. SMS's can only be sent to registered users of the system - thereby limiting the possible abuse of the system for personal use.

Real-time text chat
When users require interactive communication a real-time text chat can be initiated between two or more users. This will enable them to exchange ideas and information in real-time without picking up a phone. When users are situated in geographically distributed locations, such as different branches it will have no effect on the conversation and will cost much less than a conference call would.

Text-chats can also only be joined by invitation, making the conversation private and managed.

Telephone messages
A useful feature of adamantium|IM is a telephone message section. This allows assistants and secretaries to capture formatted call information for other users which gets displayed in another pop-up window. These messages display the caller, company, numbers and a short text message.

Central bulletin board
adamantium|IM offers a central bulletin board for all users. This can be used to send group-wide alerts or communicate important cross-departmental information. Some of our clients use this feature as a trading comment board to distribute important stock market information.

This function is to be replaced shortly with multiple managed chat rooms.

Integrated telephone directory
Many organisations are forced to use periodically distributed telephone directories that are difficult to maintain and even worse to use. Integrated in adamantium|IM is a telephone directory that gives users access to a live directory of office telephone numbers, cellular phone numbers and e-mail addresses. The directory is opened by keyboard shortcut and has a quick-search function that will filter user information for quicker access.

Deploy in a flash
adamantium IM deploys in 30 minutes and you don't need a deployment expert to do it. Simply let the installer run through the different tasks and have you server ready in minutes. Also, you can deploy the IM client via Active Directory in seconds. Because adamantium IM can integrate with your Active Directory you don't even need to set up user accounts. Simply point the IM server to extract users from a specific Active Directory group with no more administration required. Foer companies without Active Directory, adamantium IM offers a built-in user database - you don't have to rebuild your entire IT infrastructure just to get going!
